1. Be Confident (but approachable!)
This has to be the biggest tip that you could learn from.
If you are confident and feel confident, you will give off a good
vibe, and people will want to know more about you.
You can do this by making eye contact, smiling, and being relaxed.
Don't be over-confident, or cocky. You could be seen as up-yourself,
which is a real turn off. Be approachable.
2. What to Wear on a Speed Date
If you want to try speed dating, you need to know how to dress
to impress. Remember that one of the people at the speed dating session may be the one that you’ve
been waiting for!
Advice For Men
There is no need to wear a corporate suit. However,
you must dress comfortably, wear clean clothes, and wear something that would reflect
your
most astounding personality.
We suggest a nice, crisp shirt with matching pants. Don't wear jeans
- unless you look like Brad Pitt and have the bottom to match.
Make sure you shave, brush your teeth, have fresh breath, check your
nostril hairs (that they are not protruding). For men with mono-brows,
go to a beautician and get waxed or plucked. Girls will like you
infinitely more when you have two eyebrows.
Ask yourself if you need a haircut too.
Lastly, put on some nice deodorant (not Lynx or Old Spice). You will
probably start sweating at the first date, and there's no faster way to
turn off a girl than stinky body odour and sweat patches!
Advice For Women
For women, dress attractively
but don't over do it. We'd recommend that a bit of cleavage will
probably give you some extra points (we are talking about men after
all).
However, don't dress like a tart, because generally men don't respect
women who dress like that. A subtle kind of sexy/attractiveness is what
you are aiming for.
Get opinions from your girlfriends, mum or sister about what style of
clothing suits you better. Do you have great shoulders, are your legs
your best asset etc etc. You will probably be totally flabbergasted at
what your real strong points are. Then dress accordingly - it might be
time to go shopping!
Try to wear make up that will emphasize
your best facial assets. Either stress your eyes more, or your lips. If
you've done both, your face is over done! Men generally like more
natural makeup over the vamp look.
